Conclusion of the awareness campaign on cholera in Brega.
The awareness campaign on cholera, implemented by CARE in coordination with the Al-Firdous Development Society in various regions of Al-Brega District, and included Salah Al-Din Bir Ahmed and some remote areas within the first stage of the plan, has ended today.
The volunteers carried out 14 young men and women who had been trained to raise awareness in a previous stage and under the supervision of the Al-Firdaws Association and CARE. It also included 8 schools for boys and girls in different age groups.
During which awareness lectures were given, educational leaflets and posters were distributed explaining methods of prevention and treatment and how to detect the disease early.
Marwa Basfar, the activities officer in the association, emphasized the success of this campaign, returning its success to all young volunteers who provided awareness and valued enthusiasm and contributed to the success and delivery of the information to the families who need it most.
She thanked everyone who contributed to the success of this work over a whole week, and also chlorine was distributed, where about 401 families in the various departments benefited, including Al-Dawabia, Qaloua 'Bir Ahmed, the Russian base, Mashour, and Fakkum, and about 4382 of chlorine were distributed at a rate of 10 tapes for each family. Samira Abdullah played the great role played by the team and the high spirit in working in remote areas and thanks to CARE.
