Launching a health awareness project for the displaced

Al-Firdous Society launches health awareness project for the displaced Sheikh Othman

Today, a project was launched in Sheikh Othman District, Aden Governorate, for the IDPs Awareness Project, which is implemented by the Al Firdous Women Development Association and the Refugee Support Organization (DRC), funded by OCHA.

In the inauguration, which was attended by the director general of the directorate, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mehdhar, the deputy director of the directorate, Ali Abdul Majeed, and the director of the organization, Drc Hassan Al-Saqqaf.

Eng. Samira Abdullah Nasr, President of Al-Firdaws Association, indicated that this project comes within the required role of civil society organizations to provide assistance to the displaced in all its forms.

Noting that the project targeted the Sheikh Othman Directorate and the Brega Directorate by conducting awareness sessions in the field of health and the project targets 500 displaced families from the Directorate indicating that a food basket will be distributed to each participant in the awareness session.

The Director General of the Directorate, the Stadium Ahmed Al-Mehdhar, praised the work carried out by the organization in Aden governorate, and expressed his great satisfaction for this kind initiative taken by the organization and the Paradise Development Association, calling on all institutions and organizations to implement such projects in which psychological, social and material support is provided.
