Today, an awareness lecture was held at Al-Firdous Development Society in Al-Brega District on the rejection of violence, the danger of carrying weapons and its impact on societal peace

Implemented by the Akon Foundation for Rights and Freedoms; this lecture is part of an awareness campaign about the importance of the topic in the current stage, the seriousness of violence, and the bearing of arms.

As the awareness campaign aims to raise societal awareness and reach consensus on a community mechanism that limits the phenomenon of carrying weapons and the campaign it carries out, I will be effective in promoting societal peace and restore the governorate of Aden to its civil face.

Sister Sarah Abdul Karim and Sister Tamni Nabil presented the definition of violence, its forms, the harmful effects of carrying arms and its impact on the personal and societal level, and pointed to the existence of social, economic, legal and political reasons, and also urged the importance of raising awareness of the risks of violence and carrying weapons through educating community members and educating parents.

She pointed to the need to respect law and order.

At the end of the lecture, I reviewed realistic stories from the participants.

The President of the Association thanked and appreciated the Foundation, noting that such lectures are held for young people for the effective contribution by them in limiting these phenomena affecting the safety of the people of society.
